Whoop Whoop,I did it again. The wedding industry awards 2014

Well I did it again! North West Wedding DJ of the year for 2014! Whoop whoop. It was an awesome evening at the recent Wedding Industry Awards ceremony.

The evening took place at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in central London. I had the pleasure of travelling down to London, with my wife Jane, and we had an extraordinary evening. It’s a true testament to the wedding industry and the work that goes in to planning your wedding.

The wedding industry awards website is the perfect place to source the very best in wedding suppliers, rubbing shoulders with the UK’s finest wedding suppliers really has been an education! I made some fantastic new friends and learned that every single detail of your wedding should never be overlooked. The finer the detail, the better the wedding! From florists to dresses; entertainment; room lighting there is nothing that should be overlooked when planning your perfect wedding.

I learnt a great deal on Wednesday night and cherished every moment. I bounced around the room meeting some great wedding friends and I made a great deal of new ones too!

The wedding Industry awards are now into their third year and go from strength to strength each year. A staggering 23,000 votes were cast across 1,250 different wedding suppliers; which really does say a great deal!

On the night, we were treated to a champagne reception courtesy of ‘Lanson Champagne’ and music and dancing from ‘Sternburg Clarke’. Entering the room my wife and I were greeted by many of our wedding friends from the North West, including Howard Wing Entertainment, Jonny Draper Photography, Emma Draper from Love Bridal Boutique, Pheobe from Flossy & Leigh, Magic Sam Fitton, Ben & Sarah from The Ashes, Sarah and the team from Heaton House Farm and the very wonderful Jeff Wood Visuals. We stayed together for the awards in our little North West posy and we cheered, hollered, whooped and supported every winner from every category ( apologies to the florists judging table, whose ears must have been ringing the next day, as we were directly behind them.) An extra epic, much louder scream, however, came when my wonderful friend Howard Wing was announced as winner of the Best Entertainment Act for the UK. What a wonderful moment to share with him! Very touching, well done Howard! More cheers arrived as Flossy & Leigh were announced as winners, as too were The Ashes. Such a great buzz to be in the room with these wonderful people when the announcements were made.

Once the awards were all announced we celebrated with drinks, dancing, drinks, photo bombing, drinks, drinks, a bit more more dancing and . . . drinks! I think you can see where this is going. We did party hard with the crème de le crème of the wedding world into the very early morning of Thursday and rounded the night off with a late night Chinese meal, which took us to around 4am . . . . ouch!!!

A massive thank you to each and every bride and groom that took the time to vote. It has been a real pleasure to part of so many fantastic weddings in 2013. Onwards and upwards for another year of winning weddings. The wedding industry awards 2015! See you there!
