'I Won' Wedding DJ Of The Year 2016

The wedding industry awards 2016. Well what can I say 'I WON'. North West Wedding DJ of the year 2016. This award means the world to me and I thank each and every couple that took the time to vote. The voting process for these awards are very detailed and do take some time to do. It's not just clicking a link or ticking a few boxes, its detailed and exact, and it's that which attracts so many likeminded wedding suppliers to get involved with these prestigious awards. Recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry ( I'm getting goose bumps just typing that ). As I entered Heaton House Farm for the awards I was overwhelmed by the suppliers in attendance. Rubbing shoulders with the very best in the business really was humbling. I LOVE networking and its always a pleasure to see so many wedding folk catching up, talking a bit of shop and generally having a bit of down time. It's so well deserved after an incredible year. The tension grew as Damian announced the awards were to begin. Everyone moved into the main arena and the awards commenced. I barely had time to take a deep breath and suck it all in when Damian announces the first award 'Wedding DJ of the year'. The announcement takes me by surprise. The winner of the North West Wedding DJ of the year IS . . . . . . . . . . . You could hear a pin drop for what felt like an hour. ANDY MURPHY DJ . . . . .( Video footage of this moment can be viewed here ) I'm surrounded by friends and colleagues and my beautiful supporting wife and all hell breaks loose. Screams, cheers and high fives all around as I make my way to the stage. Such an amazing feeling which I Just cannot describe. I really was up against the very best in the business this year, with every single supplier being at the very top of their game. Incredible.

Things settle down and the awards continue to the sound of cheers and screams as each amazing wedding supplier are announced and collect their award. It's such a privilege and honour to be a part of these awards and long may they continue. Each and every supplier that entered should be proud to be involved. Hard work really does pay off and we should count our blessing every day.

Massive congratulations also go to other wedding suppliers Ive had the pleasure to work with over the year who also picked up awards for being equally amazing.
