Where does Andy Murphy DJ cover?

I provide wedding DJ and entertainment services across the North West of England, including Manchester, Greater Manchester, Stockport, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside. I also travel to wedding venues throughout the wider North West.

Are you a full-time professional wedding DJ?

Yes. I specialise in weddings and provide professional DJ and entertainment services designed specifically for wedding receptions. My aim is to make your evening entertainment completely stress-free while creating an incredible atmosphere for you and your guests.

What music do you play at weddings?

Absolutely everything. From classic favourites and old-school anthems to modern chart music, indie, rock, pop, dance, soul, Motown, Irish music and much more. I tailor the music to each couple and their guests rather than relying on a fixed playlist. Can we choose the music for our wedding?Of course. You can provide a playlist, must-play songs and do-not-play songs before the wedding. I also take requests from your guests during the evening where appropriate, while making sure the music continues to flow and the dance floor stays busy.

Can you play our first dance?

Yes. Your first dance is one of the most important moments of the evening, so I make sure your chosen song is prepared and played exactly when required. I can also help with song suggestions if you haven't decided on one yet.

Do you provide your own DJ equipment?

Yes. I provide professional DJ equipment, sound systems, lighting and everything required for your evening entertainment. I can also work with your venue's existing sound or lighting equipment where suitable.

Do you provide wedding lighting?

Yes. My wedding DJ packages can include professional party lighting designed to create the right atmosphere for your evening reception. Lighting can be tailored to suit your venue and the style of your wedding.

Do you take requests from wedding guests?

Yes. I am happy to take requests during the evening, while using my experience to make sure they fit the atmosphere and keep the dance floor moving.

Can you make announcements during the wedding?

Yes. I can make professional announcements throughout the evening, including introducing the first dance, announcing the evening buffet, welcoming guests to the dance floor and making other announcements when required.

What happens if our wedding venue has a sound limiter?

If your venue has a sound limiter, I can work within the venue's requirements while still providing the best possible atmosphere. I am happy to discuss your venue's restrictions with you before the wedding.

How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?

I recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for popular Saturday dates during the main wedding season. Once your date is secured, we can discuss the details of your wedding and your entertainment requirements.

Do you DJ at wedding venues outside Manchester?

Yes. Although I am based in the North West, I regularly travel to wedding venues across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and the wider North West. Travel to your venue can be included when preparing your personalised quote.

Do you work with wedding venues and other wedding suppliers?

Yes. I regularly work alongside wedding venues, photographers, videographers, musicians and other wedding suppliers. Good communication between suppliers is important, particularly when coordinating timings and key moments during the evening.

What makes you different from other wedding DJs?

My approach is completely centred around the couple and their guests. I don't simply turn up, press play and leave. I work with you beforehand to understand your plans, your musical tastes and the atmosphere you want to create, then use my experience on the night to read the room and keep the celebration moving.

Are you an award-winning wedding DJ?

Yes. I have been recognised with multiple wedding industry awards, including being voted Best Wedding DJ in the UK. My focus, however, is always on delivering an unforgettable experience for each couple rather than simply collecting awards.

Can we meet or speak before booking?

Yes. I am always happy to discuss your wedding, answer questions and talk through your entertainment requirements before you make a decision. I believe you should feel completely comfortable with the person providing your wedding entertainment.

What happens after we book?

Once your booking is confirmed, we can work through the details of your wedding, including your timings, first dance, important songs, venue requirements and any special requests. As the wedding gets closer, we make sure everything is organised so you can relax and enjoy your day.
