What a whirlwind couple of months its been. Last November I was crowned North West Wedding DJ of the year 2017 at Mitton Hall. As always The Wedding Industry Awards hosted the most perfect event. The scene was set and some of the finest UK wedding suppliers were in attendance. Its a very rare opportunity to meet and chat with these people . . . . it really is. We work alongside each other all the time but never actually get to meet. This is one element of the awards I really love. Catching up, having a drink and generally mixing with the nicest people in the business. Everyone is always on good form and happy to chat and share their wedding experiences. Each supplier has a very different view on weddings and this really intrigues me.
As the awards ceremony started the nerves kick in and I begin to panic. Its a awesome experience but always leaves me shaking ( click the video to see for yourself ). My category comes up and Damien announces me as the winner, I really don't know how to react so I just storm toward the stage and grasp the award with both hands. A truly astonishing feeling. Big hugs to Damien and a little kiss on his cheek and I'm on top of the world. North West Wedding DJ Of The Year 2017. YES!
